The Spice Diva is located in Main Street Market at 410 W Main Street, Charlottesville, VA. We opened in November, 2011 in the tiny space at the corner of the “purple building”. In March of 2016, we moved into the galleria to a much larger shop where, in addition to spices and teas, we offer seasonal local frozen treats, pantry items, thoroughly vetted and prize-winning oils, vinegars and mustards, a wide array of cocktail ingredients, and more than forty locally manufactured products.

Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are happy to advise in your choice of spices, preparation suggestions, recipes and menus or just on good places to eat out!

 

The best thing about walking into our shop is the transportive aroma. This is a shop for those who love to cook. Our beautiful demo kitchen is the most convivial place in Charlottesville to take cooking classes. The talented chefs of Charlottesville afford us a wide selection of subjects from Bitters to Beef Wellington.

 

We have an online shop in which one may order virtually anything that we carry. Our cookbook selection is a combination of those on sale as well as those available for loan to local patrons.

The decor and logo of The Spice Diva is based upon batik textile designs produced by Zambian women who have been organized by Doctors Without Borders to export their handicrafts.
