Inspired by his family’s traditional Yorkshire recipe, Chutney Ferret’s Handmade English Christmas Puddings contain over 9 types of luxurious dried fruits and nuts, locally-sourced Albemarle Pippins, organic carrots and free range eggs, a heady mix of freshly-ground Spice Diva spices, hand-mixed with a generous tipple of rum, stout and fresh, bright citrus. Each one is gently steamed for 4 hours for a rich, moist, dark and fruity pudding.
Bring the pudding to the table and flame with a dessertspoon of brandy. Serve with traditional rum or brandy butter, fresh cream or vanilla ice cream. Leftovers are delicious fried in butter and served with a sharp cheese (Wensleydale was our family favourite).
